Bad news or good news?--day 8

E's progesterone is 9.8, a week after IUI. As per the doctors' nurse they like to see the level at 11.2 or higher, so does this mean the AI was unsuccessful? E and I searched online for some encouragement and for more information and could not come up with any conclusive answers. The info. was varied, and indicated that anything from 9 to 11 was a sign of pregnancy etc, and atleast 2 sites said that progesterone levels should not be used as a confirmation or test of pregnancy. In one discussion group a woman that had a 7 day post insemination value of 9.8 found out later she was pregnant, 9.8 just like E. We are still optimistic, but having a prog. level on the lower end is not very encouraging. We don't really know what the next step is, the doctors nurse asked us to keep them updated, what does that mean? They must know something we don't, if there is no follow up appointment for a pregnancy test then that must mean they expect her period next week, and then it's another round of pricking,prodding and squirting. We'll still do our first home pregnancy test this weekend and go from there.
